on your tongue, like it’s nothing more
than a syllable, nothing more than
sound, not the restriction of this body,
of this country, of this life. I could be

Born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents, Jennifer Lopez is a bisexual Latine writer based in the Inland Empire. From working for literary magazines, political are zines, and academic research in Creative Writing, she advocates for writing that explores social, political, and environmental issues globally. Her work can be found in The Pacific Review and The Space. When not writing, she enjoys films with inspiring scores, organizing in her community, or escaping into a fictional realm.
