Tell me that is not love

By Tayla Romance

Libra 𖤓 | Virgo ⏾ | Aquarius ↑

look at the birds
fated in formation
following the break of day
and tell me that is not love

look at the moon
bound intrinsically to us
through tidal ebb and flow
and tell me that is not love

look at iron
what flows within our veins
made only from bursting stars
and tell me that is not love

look at the father
made taller by the child
at ride on his shoulders
and tell me that is not love

look at your friend
the ways in which they are
how you hold through everything
and tell me that is not love

look at yourself
how you’ve made it this far
the fire that lights your eyes
and tell me that is not love

look at the world
how it prevails on and on
see how it moves with you
and tell me that is not love

She has been writing poetry since her pre-teen years as a way to alchemise her emotions and connect with the world and those around her. Alongside taking pleasure in writing, Tayla studies Chinese medicine full-time, an undertaking which further inspires her writing by way of its Daoist philosophical underpinnings. Nature is her inspiration and her cure. Aside from writing and acupuncture, Tayla adores visual mediums and is currently undertaking a year-long project shot on her new digital camera.
