Letter from the Editors

Dear Reader,

A Curious Moon was born from an idea, shared with a friend, and blossomed into a literary magazine that we’re excited for you to read.

Rooted in the belief of magic in everyday life, especially in the magic of ink that flows on pages, words that are typed out on screens, and sentences that invite you into a new world, it only made sense for A Curious Moon’s first issue theme to be Harvest Moon. When we think of a Harvest Moon, we think of ways to connect with nature, the lore of the things we’re grateful for, and the fruits of our labor. This issue is a combination of all of that and more.

Like the lunar cycle, our issue has 13 pieces that connect to the theme in some way. Every piece chosen for this inaugural issue is worthy of being shared with the world, which is why each piece will be featured once a day ending on the Autumn Equinox with a poem from our Pushcart Prize Nominee.

We’d like to extend a thanks to those who submitted, the people who have supported us behind the scenes, and you for taking the time to read our magazine.

Stay Curious,
Kiah and Katelyn
